A New Page

It may have come to your attention that I have done a horrible job at keeping my blog updated. This is not because I do not care about posting. Its because I have had one of the best summers of my life, in a place that I secretly call home. But now I am back. And it is time for change.

From now on this will be a photo-a-day blog. I have been inspired by several of my friends; notably Mark and Annie. As the son of a photographer this is not a big step. Each post will be accompanied by a line, either explaining it or mystifying it. This is because I have a love for the written word.

four thirty to five

Now that it is summer in Scandinavia, nature is compensating for the long dark windows. The sun now rises around 4.30 am, and sets near 11pm. These pictures were all taken by the lakes sometime between 4.30 am and 5. and it looks like its 7-8 am. amazing.

Sunday Morning Walk

I need fresh air. I needed to see the sea. so i walked down to the harbor today. the closest shore is an industrial harbor, but that's okay because one of my favorite wharfs is there. these are photos from the walk.

Festival

There was a big festival in the park. there was a parade. electronic music. world music. a lot of stuff. it was actually a month ago but the pictures should be posted.

Life Has Changed

It has been over a month since i have posted. you have probably forgotten about this blog and are either pleasantly surprised or slightly confused when it pops up in your google reader. A lot has happened. i turned 22. i finished my 4th year of college. I have made some friends. lost some. I now rent a room from a bunch of neat Danish students in Osterbro, have a real job, eat a lot of Danish food, and have many more Danish friends than American ones now that most of my school mates have gone home. there are lots of events that i should have posted to this blog but i have been internalizing some things, sharing them only with family. but here is a collection of random images from the last month. many from the last week.

i also have created a new background for the blog. it means something to me but you probably dont know what. Made from scratch.

i dont feel like explaining any of these images, but i will say that the building in the back of the first one is where i live. i took the photo this morning. my window is on the second floor, second from the right of the corner building. yes. that is a bakery on the first floor.
